This has just been presented at the Tellurid Film Festival in 2025 – hence the reason why this trailer is now available. An execution doc! Learn to fly follows the former competition runner who has become a photographer Aisha McAdams Starting on a trip to document the triumphs and difficulties of some of the biggest names in ultra race, such as Jim Walmsley and Eszter Csillag, because they compete in the Western States Endurance Run in the mountains of East California and ultra-trail of Mont-Blanc (UTMB) in the French Alps. While photographing and interviewing these elite runners, Aisha confronts her own painful and complex past, and the reasons why she had to move away from the race, a significant prosecution which had once brought her a feeling of freedom, joy and very necessary belonging. Learn to fly is directed by the famous DOC filmmaker Max LOWEDoc Doc Director Torn Previously, the more the paired doc Camp courage. It is produced by Katy Chevigny, Evan Hayes and Ayesha Rokadia.
