“The power of the turtles! Meet the radical reptiles.” Paramount revealed a fun first teaser for the unique animated short Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Chrome Alone 2. Going back to the way things were, they’re releasing this new animated short ahead of the upcoming theatrical release of The SpongeBob Movie: Finding SquarePants this December. Waiting for the sequel TMNT: Mutant Chaos sequel (scheduled for 2027), this short film promises to be a treat for Turtles fans. When a mysterious toy company exploits the Turtles’ newfound fame with fraudulent toys, the brothers follow the clues to New Jersey where they stumble upon a shocking discovery. It’s going to be a delicious riff on the classic Alone at home films, especially Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (made in 1992). The full title is an obvious reference: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Chrome Alone 2 – Lost in New Jersey. I’m glad they’re ready to let that go already – keep the Turtles on the big screen where they belong in another fun little Christmas story. As a big fan of Mutant ChaosI have to admit I can’t wait to watch this and hang out with the brothers again. Check it out.
