First day of alert for extreme heat in Arizona

Phoenix (Azfamily) – It is a first alert weather day with an extreme heat warning in force for the valley from 10 am today. Look for a summit of the 113 degree valley, six degrees above normal for this period of the year and five degrees less than the daily file.

Record temperatures are possible tomorrow because an already high pressure crest is strengthening in our region. Wednesday and Thursday are also the first alert weather days, with an extreme heat warning in force until Thursday at 8 p.m., high temperatures will rise to 117 degrees on Wednesday, which will be binding for our hottest day this summer. This would also break the previous daily record of 116 degrees, set in 2024.

Temperatures in the valley should exceed almost 113 degrees on Thursday and almost 110 to 111 degrees on Friday until weekend.

Although the strong pressure moves around our region, it never really reaches a favorable place to advertise the moisture of the monsoon in Arizona. The chances of the storm are today almost 20% for most of the high country and seem even thinner since tomorrow. The white mountains will continue to see the chances of a daily storm.

The moisture of the monsoon can come back more at the end of next week, but this is a way to go out. We will keep you informed of changes as we get closer.
