Fire for the playoffs, hunting better seeds, Toronto FC face

The Chicago fire will seek to extend its four -game victories sequence when they welcome the Toronto FC on Saturday evening.
Chicago (15-11-6, 51 points) is eighth in the Eastern Conference classification with two games to play, but the fire could move as high as the first four if they prevail and other results are in their favor. Going to the seventh or more is crucial because it means avoiding the game match.
The fire officially won a place in the MLS CUP qualifiers with a 5-3 victory against Inter Miami on Tuesday, ending a drought of seven years in the after-season.
The originally from Chicago, Justin Reynolds, scored the winning goal of the match to guarantee the 14th appearance of club qualifiers and the first since 2017.
“We are focusing more. Chicago won a 2-1 victory in Toronto in March in the other meeting between the teams this season.
The Toronto FC (5-13-13, 28 points), which are officially eliminated from affirmations in playoffs, visit Chicago to set up an undefeated sequence of seven games compiled exclusively by links.
Djordje Mihailovic scored his first goal as a member of the Toronto FC when they played Inter Miami in a 1-1 draw on September 27.
The Reds returned only six goals during the undefeated sequence in progress.
“I think that (we have been) on the same wavelength,” said Toronto goalkeeper Sean Johnson. “Being responsible, then we spent a lot of hours trying to do the good defensive side. I think it’s just a commitment to keep the ball out of the back of the net, and I think it’s something proud.”
