Finn Wolfhard and Natalia Dyer Reveal Which ‘Stranger Things’ Co-Star Is the Best Cook

THE Stranger Things the cast includes talented cooks.

Finn Wolfhard and Natalia Dyer, who star alongside each other in the hit Netflix series, were the latest stars to take part. The New York Times Culinary series “The Pizza Interview”, in which guests prepare pizza together in the hot seat.

During the show’s Tuesday, Dec. 30 episode, Wolfhard (who plays Mike Wheeler) and Dyer (Nancy Wheeler) revealed that Joe Keery (Steve Harrington) is the “best cook” on the show.

Dyer said Keery is a “good cook” who, Wolfhard revealed, once made an “amazing” steak and chimichurri sauce.

“Simply, but like perfect,” he said.

Dyer also complimented a “chicken thing” that Keery had cooked, “like it was nothing,” she added.

Although Keery may be the better cook, Wolfhard said he likes to cook “a lot of Asian food, a lot of Asian food.”

He explained that he had already organized a dinner during which he had cooked a Japanese fondue which he found “much too salty”. However, he recently made a kimchi stew that was “really good.”

Although Dyer said cooking pizza was “a little intimidating,” she revealed that the cast wanted to improve their cooking skills with each other, but never found the time to do so while filming.

“We talked about doing a lot of pizza parties when we were filming the last season of Stranger Things“, Wolfhard recalls. “And then I never did, and I always ended up spending maybe an hour and a half trying to figure out what we were going to end up ordering.”

The second part of the episodes of season 5 of Stranger Things arrived on Netflix on December 25, while the finale drops on December 31 at 8 p.m. ET.

Dyer previously told PEOPLE that he “was so happy with the end of my character,” adding that saying goodbye to the series as a whole was bittersweet.

“I was satisfied, but I was also very confused and sad, but also very happy,” he said. “I felt like I was in a dream or something. None of it seemed real. I don’t know, it was perfect.”
