“You’ve tried this thing, haven’t you?” “THIS IS the test.” Markiplier opens soon-to-be-called independent sci-fi film creation Iron lunginspired by the cult indie video game of the same name. Iron lung is one of the first feature films directed by the YouTube personality”Markiplier“, also known as Mark Fischbach, an independent creator known for his YouTube videos covering almost everything. This one is a strange sci-fi concept about a guy in a submarine exploring an “ocean of blood” in order to save humanity. In a post-apocalyptic future set after the event “The Quiet Rapture”, a convict explores an ocean of blood found on a desolate moon using a mini submarine called “Iron Lung” to search for missing stars and planets. Iron lung stars Marc Fischbach as the main convict, with Caroline Rose Kaplan, Sean McLoughlin, David Szymanski, Troy Boulanger, Elsie Lovelock, Isaac McKee. The original “iron lung” was a medical machine invented in the 1800s to help with breathing; this concept was later used to create an early scuba diving suit invented by Phillip Drinker and Louis Shaw in 1928. This sci-fi film will be released in theaters starting in January 2026 after being in development for years. It’s always cool to see low-budget independent films – watch this.
