Final blog of the Stanley Cup: Evan Rodrigues

The Florida Panthers striker Evan Rodrigues will keep his own blog throughout the Stanley 2025 Cup final against Edmonton’s Oilers. He will register regularly with behind -the -scenes access.

In his sixth entry, Rodrigues talks about the 5-2 victory of the Panthers against the EDMONTON Oilers in match 5 in Rogers Place, from their long trip to Edmonton on Friday, and their state of mind before match 6 to bring Bank Arena on Tuesday (8 p.m. e and; Max, trutv, TNT, SN, TVAS), when they can win the Cup.

Friday, the trip here is to do what we did when we come to Edmonton. We come the day before, we have a routine of what we do when we land, so that seemed normal to us. And after the defeat of match 4, it was good to come back there and get back on the ice.

We have our recovery things. Some guys cycle when we enter, you try to run the blood and move your legs. The guys do different things in the past two years, for a guy like me, and three years for some of the guys are here. The guys have certain routines they like to do, they feel best, and that’s a bit what we have done. We had three games last year that we somehow crossed this routine, another this year, so we enter a routine and make what has been successful in the past and we have prepared for match 5.

There was a Dairy Queen trip on Friday, but I am not part of Dairy Queen Crew. So the guys who were part of it and that worked.

It was huge for us to remove the crowd from the match early tonight. Some big games of some guys. I thought we were there, we were aggressive. We were ready with the washer. We felt confident. And I think we played confident and simply played our identity.

When we get home, we will do what we have done in two or over the past three years. You have your thing. There is such a routine now. We got home, we had these two -day breaks and the guys found what suits them best and that’s what we will do. And this is the advantage of having the experience, you fall into your routine, you do not really look for something, you do not wonder what to do. You did it. The guys have done so, I don’t know, 20-30 times in recent seasons, so you go home, do your routine and prepare for match 6.

You have to treat it like any other game. You obviously think about it, but it’s just another game.

As for the media threw surrounding the game, I try to settle everything. You focus on your game, you focus on what you need to do, your recovery, you just try to take care of yourself, just do what you usually do and I think it’s the best state of mind to have.
