The fan of Pittsburgh Pirates who plunged 21 feet on the warning track in the right field to PNC Park this week is recovered, according to a Saturday press release which accompanied its Gofundme page.
Kavan Markwood, a 20 -year -old who was in Wednesday evening match between the pirates and visiting the Cubs of Chicago and was seated in the front row, put both hands on the rail in front of him and inexplicably passed.
Markwood clashed motionless while the medical teams of pirates and cubs took care of him, and he was taken to the General Hospital of Allegheny in critical condition.
Jennifer Phillips, who organized the fundraising website for Markwood, said that he was “awake, alert and capable of speaking.
“After all that he has experienced since the accident on Wednesday evening, this progress feels nothing less than miraculous,” added Phillips.
“He still has a long road in front of him, but today brought a moment of hope that we have all sticks,” said Phillips. “Thank you all for your prayers, your support and your generosity. Please continue to keep it in your thoughts while it starts the next recovery phase.”
There was no immediate update of the state of Markwood or the reason for its fall, but the public security of Pittsburgh treats the incident as accidental.
