Fantasy Football Week 6 Wiver Wire: Rico Dowdle Hot Hand, Kendrick Bourne, plus more injury replacements

There were several players mentioned in the Wiver Wire column last week who played a big role in many victories during week 5. Sam Darnold was a quarter-Arrière Top Trois. Rico Dowdle was the ball carrier No. 2. And Theo Johnson and Darren Waller were both in the first tight ends.

Now, let’s see if there are plug-and-play options out of the derogation thread to help week 6.

There are only two teams on a Bye during week 6 with Minnesota and Houston, but we still have several injuries to watch, notably for Omarion Hampton (ankle), which was placed on the injured reserve. With Hampton Out, it will probably be a tandem of Kimani Vidal and Hassan Haskins, which could be messy, but we will speak below.

Kenneth Gainwell will be the first ball carrier to add this week, but keep an eye on if Michael Carter is still available. And we will also have other runners to add, including Kendre Miller, Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Tyjae Spears.

To the wide receiver, the best player to add this week is Kendrick Bourne, especially if Ricky Pearsall (knee) and Jauan Jennings (knee) remain in San Francisco. The other receivers to be added include Tre Tucker, Rashid Shaheed and Jalen Coker (Quadriceps), who, hopefully, will make his debut in 2025 in week 6.

Darnold is a quarter 1 to add for week 6, but don’t forget Taga Tagovailoa and Mac Jones, who could make another departure in place of Brock Purdy (Orte). And the first ends tight to add this week include Mason Taylor, AJ Barner, Theo Johnson and Jake Tonges, which all come from high performance during week 5.

We will also have DST and Kicker streaming options to add too. It is this time of year when injuries and goodbye weeks are wreaking havoc on your list, but the derogation thread is there to help you.

Publisher’s note: For this column of derogation wire, we only look at the players noted in less than 65% of the CBS sports leagues.

Expenses of week 6

On a bye: CJ Stroud, Carson Wentz and JJ McCarthy.

Injuries: Lamar Jackson (ischio-legs), Brock Purdy (Orteil), Joe Burrow (Orteil) and JJ McCarthy (ankle).

Check to see if available in shallow leagues: CJ Stroud (70 percent reduced). Stroud plays well in his bye in week 6 with consecutive matches with at least 22.4 fantastic points. This helps that he faced the Titans and the Ravens during these two games, and his schedule after Bye is not easy with the matches against Seattle, San Francisco and Denver. That said, if Stroud can resume the form of his recruit season, that he looked like the last two weeks, we could have a fantastic quarter 1 low-end in all the leagues to close the year.

Drop candidates: Geno Smith (51 percent reduced). You must ask yourself if the raiders plan to put Smith in bench if he continues to play as he did in the last two games against Chicago and Indianapolis where he combined 345 yards, two affected and five interceptions. Fantasy managers in the a quarter leagues cannot start it, so it is droppable in these formats. And it is a dubious starting option in the superflex leagues and two quarters before week 6 against Tennessee, but do not place it there. Just put it away on your bench at the moment, but it’s ugly for Smith, especially with Brock Bowers (knee).

Back-back

On a bye: Jordan Mason, Aaron Jones, Zavier Scott, Nick Chubb and Woody Marks.

Injuries: Omarion Hampton (ankle), Bucky Irving (shoulder / foot), Chuba Hubbard (calf), Jaylen Warren (knee), Aaron Jones (ischio-legs), Antonio Gibson (knee), Trey Benson (Knee), Tyrone Tracy Jr. (shoulder), Joe Mixon.

Check to see if available in shallow leagues: Rico Dowdle (83 percent reduced), Bhashul Tuten (76%) and Michael Carter (67%). Dowdle was a monster against dolphins in week 5 as a panthers starter in place of Hubbard with 32.4 PPR points. We do not know if Hubbard will play in week 6, but Dowdle will be an essential ball carrier if Hubbard is against Dallas in a vengeance game. … Tuten is just a handcuff for Travis Etienne, but I always want to play it in the majority of the leagues. … Carter did well as a starter of cardinals in place of Benson with 18 races for 51 yards and a touchdown and five catches for 22 yards on five targets of week 5 against Tennessee. I doubt that Emari Demermera is a huge threat to Carter’s workload during week 6 in Indianapolis, and Carter is worth trusting as a low -end n ° 2 in all the leagues against the colts.

Drop candidates: Emari Demericado (87%Rossaret), Ollie Gordon II (64%) and Sean Tucker (38%). I like the way Demermercado has had his escape the goal line of week 5 against Tennessee, but it is difficult to expect that he gets more work after this error. And he had only three races for 81 yards in the game, with no target, while Carter dominated the keys. … Gordon can be registered as a handcuffed for De’Von Achane if you wish, but it does not have much autonomous value at the moment. In his last two games against jets and panthers, Gordon combined for nine races for 8 yards and a target. … Tucker is worth playing as handcuffs for Rachaad White while IRVING is released, but it is clear that White will manage the majority of the keys until Irving returns. During the first match without Irving in week 5 in Seattle, Tucker had only three races for 3 yards and three catches for less-4 yards on three targets.

Wide receivers

On a bye: Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, Adam Thielen, Jalen Nailor, Nico Collins, Christian Kirk, Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel.

Injuries: Darius Slayton (ischio-legs), Ricky Pearsall (knee), Jauan Jennings (ankle), Darnell Mooney (Ischio Reed (Clarbone), Brandon Aiyuk (knee), Jalen Coker (Quadriceps), Alec Pierce (brain concussion), Christian Watson (Knee) (neck).

Check to see if available in shallow leagues: Wan’dale Robinson (82 percent Rossaild), Cooper Kupp (78%), Matthew Golden (76%), Jauan Jennings (74%), Romeo Doubs (72%) and Calvin Ridley (72%). Robinson achieved five catches for 30 yards out of seven targets during week 5 in New Orleans, and he could be the best receiver for giants to move forward if Darius Slayton (hamstrings) is absent for a long time. … KUPP had only nine targets in week 5 against Tampa Bay and finished with six catches for 59 yards. It is always worth hidden in all PPR leagues. … Golden entered the Review at Green Bay during week 5 with nine catches for 110 yards on 10 targets in his last two games against Cleveland and Dallas. With a little luck, he is just starting with his production, and he could emerge as a fantastic receiver n ° 3 in all the leagues. … Jennings is not guaranteed to play in week 6 at Tampa Bay after missing week 5 with an ankle injury. But when it is in good health, Jennings can be a fantastic receiver n ° 3 in all the leagues and is worth hidden when available. … Doubs should be added in all the leagues after its big game of week 4 in Dallas with six catches for 58 yards and three affected on eight targets. Packers are faced with the Bengals of week 6, which should benefit the entire Green Bay reception body. … It was good to see Ridley do something in week 5 on Arizona with five catches for 131 yards on 10 targets. Hopefully it was not a wonder because he scored 8.7 PPR points or less in the first four games of the season, but it is worth adding Ridley to all the leagues where available before week 6 in Las Vegas.

Drop candidates: Jerry Jeudy (88 percent reduced), Travis Hunter (74%) and Rashod Bateman (44%). Jeudy had trouble this season and scored 9.1 PPR points or less in four games in a row, including week 5 against Minnesota during the first departure with Dillon Gabriel with two catches for 15 yards on five targets. He could surprise us during week 6 at Pittsburgh, but you can drop Jeudy in all the leagues to 10 teams yet. … Hunter had three catches for 64 yards on three targets Monday evening against Kansas City, and he scored 9.4 PPR or less points in every game this season, without touchdown. … Bateman combined for a take for 24 yards out of five targets in his last two games against chiefs and Texans. It was difficult to trust Lamar Jackson (hamstrings) in good health, but it is easy to go from Bateman to all the leagues while Jackson is absent.

On a bye: TJ Hockenson and Dalton Schultz.

Injuries: BROCK BOWERS (knee), Brenton Strange (HIP), George Kittle (Ischio-Jumbers), Colston Loveland (Hip), Tyler Higbee (Hip), Michael Mayer (Concrete) and Ja’tavion Sanders (ankle).

Check to see if available in shallow leagues: David Njoku (69% reduced) and Kyle Pitts (67%). Njoku had a big match in week 5 against Minnesota during the first departure for Dillon Gabriel with six catches for 67 yards and one touch on nine targets. I hope it is a sign of things to come, and Njoku should be added in all the leagues before week 6 in Pittsburgh. … Pitts entered his Bye on a high note with five catches for 70 yards and one touch on five targets during week 4 against Washington. He should benefit from it if Darnell Mooney (ischio-legs) is absent in week 6 against Buffalo, but even if Mooney is healthy, Pitts should be added in all the leagues.

Drop candidates: TJ Hockenson (85 percent reduced), Juwan Johnson (68%) and Isaiah probably (38%). Hockenson is not worth being held during his Bye during week 6. Although he scored 9.8 PPR points in week 5 against Cleveland in London, this is his second best of the season. He has a hit this year, and it will be difficult to trust the future now that Jordan Addison is back. … Johnson has disappeared with his production the last two games with five combined catches for 45 yards and no touched on seven targets. Before week 4, Johnson had at least eight targets in each of his first three games. Taysom Hill and Foster Moreau are now in good health, and Johnson is not worth playing in most leagues at 10 teams. … In two games, after missing the first three games of the season with a foot injury, probably combined for a single catch for 12 yards on a target. It will be difficult to trust while Lamar Jackson (hamstring) is released, and can probably be abandoned in all the leagues before week 6 against Rams.
