Jac Caglianone (1b royals): Rossée in 20% of Yahoo leagues
Let us wish that to existence.
The hope was that the Royals call Caglianone when they abandoned Cavan Biggio from the list on Sunday, but they rather chose John Rave. Three days earlier, they cut Hunter Renfroe but replaced it with an inner field player at Nick Loftin. Whether it is an offense or, more likely, the defense, the Royals do not think that Caglianone is quite ready, at least not as a Voltger. However, it must be close.
Caglianone was the sixth choice in total of last year’s draft after a stellar race at the University of Florida. Although it was also a legitimate perspective as a launcher, there was no doubt that he was drafted for his bat, which produced 68 circuits in 137 games during his last two years at school. This year he opened in Double-A and struck .322 / .394 / .553 in 38 games. The Royals recently promoted him to Triple-A Omaha, where he opened 12 for 37 with five circuits. Overall, he struck .323 / .389 / .593 with 14 circuits in 216 plaques appearances.
Having never played elsewhere than the first before this year, Caglianone remains a novice in the outside field, he started two games on the left and 10 on the right, where his excellent arm should help compensate for his lack of range. Obviously, he still needs more work. He needs almost as much as the Royals need his bat in the middle of their alignment.
Caglianone should be a future guy of 30 Hommer for the Royals, even by playing half of his games in the most difficult MLB Home Run park for the left -handers. Kauffman is actually a beautiful striking park overall, but because the circuits are most of his game, this will probably remove Caglianone figures. However, Caglianone is not a big guy with a stick as hard as he swings; He only made 20.4% of the time this season. It should be worth used in mixed leagues as soon as it is promoted.
Shane Bieber (SP Guardians): Racked in 29% of Yahoo leagues
Return of Tommy John surgery last April, Bieber is ready for his first of several rehabilitation departures on Saturday. He will probably not make his return to the rotation of the Guardians before the end of June, but it will probably be too late to add it to mixed leagues.
Of course, we do not know exactly what Bieber we will see this year. The 2023 version was far from the winner of the Al Cy Young Prix of 2020, because its withdrawal rate fell considerably for a third consecutive year and it ended up with a 3.80 MPM. It seemed that a turnaround was in store last year, because he followed an impressive spring by launching 12 -sleeves aimlessly with 20 sticks in the stick during his first two departures. But this is where his elbow gave in.
The fact that Bieber worked hard to recover part of his lost speed probably played a role in last year’s injury. It is certainly too much to expect what he comes out by pulling now as he did last spring, although everything is possible. If it is in form 2023, it is always a useful launcher too. The pitch in Cleveland helps to limit his Homer totals, and he has always done well in terms of whip. There is no guarantee with a launcher returning from surgery, but Bieber is a bet good enough to make the value of the list / It a month before its beginnings.
Thairo Estrada (2b Rockies): Rancard in 6% of Yahoo leagues
Signed in winter to replace Brendan Rodgers to the second goal of Colorado, Estrada is finally ready to make his debut on the Rockies 10 weeks after a Kumar rocker left him a broken wrist. That he will play regularly is not in doubt. The amount he will do will be the determining factor to find out if it turns out to be useful in mixed leagues.
Never a large part of a basic base in minors, Estrada surprised everyone by dragging 21 bases in 27 tests while emerging like a fantastic field player useful with the Giants in 2022., he followed this with an even better 2023 in which he was 23 for 30 flight bases, even if he missed almost a quarter of the season. Last year, however, everything crashed for Estrada. He struck only .217 / .247 / .343 and was 2 for 4 bases in 96 games before ending the year with minors.
The two reasons for optimism are now that Estrada’s exit speed figures last year were fundamentally the same as the previous two seasons, and it went from a difficult park for the best of Coors Field baseball. It will probably not bring more than modest contributions in the non -SB categories, but if it starts to make the current again – and there is really no reason why it is not in a team as bad as the rocks – it will probably be useful as IM in the leagues with 12 teams.

– Camilo Doval remains available in 46% of Yahoo leagues after being returned to the role of giants this week. It will probably be a top 20 and perhaps a top 10 of the rest of the path.
– Gavin Lux is probably not a long -term guy in mixed leagues, but the Reds have six home games next week, with at least five of those who come against right -handers, and Lux strikes in the cleaning site with Austin Hays on IL. As an option of a week, he makes a lot of sense.
