Fantastic football classification: Top 10 rescue runners passing through week 1

The position of Running Back was not so hard hit by injuries last season, but we know how fast things can change in one of the most physical positions in football. The fantastic football managers who remain prepared and know which backs are the next online for the keys will always have an advantage over the competition.

It is also important to understand which backups have a chance to set up the depth board according to the talents, which are ready for a leading role when injuries strike and those who would have maximized within the framework of a less attractive replacement committee.

Here’s how I classify the best backup runners before week 1 – based on their fantastic potential in 2025.
1. David Montgomery, Lions
The Montgomery races fell last year, but he compensated for reception and touching work. There remains a solid RB3 / Flex with a winning increase in the league if Jahmyr Gibbs is injured.
2. Jordan Mason, Vikings
The Vikings have made a concerted effort to exchange for Mason and did not do much else to contact their rear field. Aaron Jones Sr., who will be 31 years old in December, fought through a wave of injuries in recent seasons and it seems that coach staff understand that his workload must be recommended. Enter Mason as half of a 50-50 tandem and the hammer of the goal line in an offense which should be in a score position often. There is another RB3 / Flex with a fantastic ceiling in the top 12 if Jones is sidelined at any time.

3. Zach Charbonnet, Seahawks
Anyone who is Naytered Charbonnet knows the value he offers when Kenneth Walker III is excluded. During the six games that Walker missed last season, Charbonnet published weekly fantasy results as RB1, RB6, RB12, RB15, RB21 and RB27. Although it is not started when Walker is active, Charbonnet deserves to be one of the first real backups of the table in the sketches.
4. Trey Benson, Cardinals
Benson was drafted to be the obvious heir of James Conner, but the veteran continues to get lost. Cardinals still seem raised on Benson, Conner suggesting that team has two RB1 and Kyler Murray predicting a season in small groups for the second year. Although it seems unlikely, if Conner falls or hurts, Benson would be in the top 20 of my weekly ranking.

5. Braelon Allen, jets
Even as a 20 -year recruit, Allen seemed to belong last year by replacing Bree Hall. Allen continued its development with a strong off -season, which caught the attention of the new head coach Aaron Glenn, who regularly talked about the use of several backs – as his old team did in Detroit. If this scenario materializes, Allen could be a weekly flex game with a huge advantage if Hall is hit or discuss.
6. Ray Davis, Bills
James Cook is back with the team after signing a new contract, but Davis is still ready to intensify if the first time. Davis has shown that he could deliver when he was pushed into the starting role. In the two games where Davis played more than 50% of offensive shots last year, he finished as a fantastic RB of the top-15 on two weeks.

7. Brian Robinson Jr., 49ers
With injuries affecting the young backs of the depth painting of San Francisco, the front office has acquired a proven veteran as a replacement for Christian McCaffrey. Robinson is only a year of publication of 1,101 melee yards and nine affected in total, while finishing as RB21 in fantastic points per game. Although it is not the most exciting return on this list, Robinson Jr. would certainly produce if CMC is injured again.
8. Rhamondre Stevenson, Patriots
Recruit Treveyon Henderson is the most exciting rear in New England, but Stevenson is not yet relegated to the bench. He will remain involved and could see more bearings than people come true like the thunder of Henderson’s lightning. Although it is not as sexy a fantastic choice as some of the other names on this list, it could have a lot of autonomous value as an flex option.

9. Tyler Allgeier, Falcons
It seems to be a life when Allgeier rushed for more than 1,000 meters as a recruit. Then came Bijan Robinson and Away Gasé the fantastic value of Allgeier as a starter. It is always a surqualified backup that could intensify and produce behind the excellent offensive line of Falcons – if Robinson was unable to play for any reason.
10. Will Shipley, Eagles
While the occasional fantasy managers were distracted by a name they recognized in Aj Dillon, the wise managers picked up as many Shippley actions as possible. It was clear by the way the coaches and the front office spoke of Shipipley that it was the backup of the list if Saquon Barkley breaks down after his huge workload in 2024. Shipipley also admitted the task when the pre-season is opened when he rushed to 48 yards in seven races and added a grip for four yards.
