Fans light Postcoglou while the race without a victory extends to six games

Angel Postcoglou was serenade with songs of “Your Getting Sacked in the morning” by fans of Nottingham Forest while his team crashed to defeat Midtjylland in the Europa League this evening.

The decision of the forest owner Evangelos Marinakis to dismiss Nuno Espirito Santo and to replace him by Postcoglou threatens to become sour by the race without victory of the Australian in charge now up to six games and home fans starting to revolt.

The forest was designed to pay a defense of the first lax half that saw Ousmane Diao and Mads Bech score kicks on each side of a goal from Dan Ndoye for the hosts.

The local team sank at the front in search of a late equalizer – Chris Wood denied the goals twice by the out -of -game flag – but were left exposed to the rear and Valdemar Andrean made them pay to cap a superb display on the Danish side.

Wood removed one from the penalty but it was too late.

Sloppy forest made to pay

Forest’s progress in the first half was disrupted by a defense of Slack which allowed them to be conceded twice.

The hosts started well with Elliot Anderson and Callum Hudson-Odoi creating space, but then missing the target with long-term efforts.

But they offered in the middle of the head after 18 minutes. A free kick was pumped into the box, the forest defense failed to release and Diao was on site to guide the house of Bech’s house.

The objective at least triggered Forest in life and Elias Olafsson had to produce a superb backup to prevent Ndoye’s shot. From the resulting corner, Midtjylland’s goalkeeper had to be vigilant to switch Nikola Milenkovic’s effort.

The equalizer arrived, however, after 22 minutes. Morgan Gibbs-White sent a low ball in the box and Ndoye reacted well to hang it at home.

Forest lost at home against Sunderland on Saturday – Omar Alderete Netting for visitors – and they conceded their third goal from a set in two games after 24 minutes.

A corner on the left was fired by Philip Billing and although Martin Erlic’s head was saved, the ball fell for Bech to withdraw home.

He should have been 3-1 after 33 minutes, but Diao was going widely when he was not marked in a corner.

Postcoglou irritated by the tactics of the strong weapons of the Danes

Midtjylland was becoming more and more physical as the second half developed, at the great frustration of Postcoglou who repeatedly upset with the referee.

As they did the weekend, Forest released more energy after the break, but they have always had trouble creating clear chances.

Ibrahim Sangare drew 25 meters largely and replacing it Nicola Savona, for the wounded Murillo, also put an effort on Target.

Postcoglou replaced Igor Jesus with wood and the veteran New Zealander had an immediate impact only so that his nearby effort is excluded for offside.

Wood was refused once again by the flag offside two minutes later after having run on Sangare’s pass and the house at home.

Having committed their luck, Midtjylland scored with their only shot on the target in the second half. Dario Osorio sent the ball so that Endenen flows and pulls home.

Postcoglou stood motionless, hands on his head as fans of the forest came their anger.

It was still time for Wood to mark space after a fault on Anderson by Diao, but that was for little.
