Falconies RT Kaleb McGary on IR at the end of the season

After undergoing a lower left leg injury during training last week, the Atlanta Falcons starting the right tackle Kaleb McGary were placed on Tuesday on the injured reserve and will miss the 2025 season.
McGary accepted an extension of $ 30 million over two years with Falcons in early August. He played 93 games and made 92 departures in six seasons in Atlanta, and was to be the blind protector for the starting quarter Lefty Michael Penix Jr. this season.
It is another blow to the depth of the offensive line of the Falcons while the Talle of Swing Storm Norton will also start the season on the IR with a label designated to return due to an ankle injury which required surgery and will put it online for six to eight weeks.
The Falcons would have taken their first step to solve these tackle depth problems on Tuesday by exchanging a conditional choice of seventh round in 2027 at Seattle Seahawks for the second -year offensive line Michael Jerrell.
Jerrell, who was 26 years old on August 18, appeared in 10 games (three departures) as a recruit for the Seahawks, playing mainly on the right. The Seahawks selected it in the sixth round of the 2024 recovery of Findlay College.
