Fairwell Festival should start on Friday in Redmond

The Fairwell Festival returns to Redmond for the third time, which should start on July 18 at the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center.
No change at the festival was announced on Wednesday, due to the forest fire that burns nearby or poor air quality in Redmond.
Tickets for the two -day event are limited, but some are available. A general admission ticket starts at $ 139 and a 2 -day general admission ticket starts at $ 289. Parking pass are always available for travel to and from the festival. A shuttle ticket is $ 25 per vehicle. Parking is available in the secondary schools of Redmond and Ridgeview. Non -covered bags, aerosol containers, including sunscreens and beauty products, weapons, coolers, supervised backpacks, hammocks, glass containers, illegal and illicit substances and food or outdoor drinks are included on the list of prohibited items. The doors open at noon every day. Friday evening headliners include Tyler Childers and Dwight Yoakam while Sturgill Simpson, Sierra Ferrell and Ludacris perform on Saturday.
Festival crowds should make it more difficult to travel and get out of Redmond Airport during the event. A main route to US Highway 97 airport will end on Friday and Saturday evening at 10 p.m. to allow festival -goers to leave the festival’s land faster.
SW Airport Way will remain closed until 1 a.m. the next morning. Travelers hoping to reach the airport during this period must use Sw Veterans Way. Stronger crowds should also increase the time required for security, with a recommended two -hour arrival before departure.
