Faf du Plessis grateful to Super Kings franchise

Former South African cricketer Faf du Plessis has expressed his gratitude to the Super Kings franchise for supporting him for years. He added that it was a privilege to play under the guidance of big names like MS Dhoni and Stephen Felming.
“A great franchise to be a part of”
The du Plessis-led Joburg Super Kings will face the Pretoria Capitals on Saturday. Speaking at the captains’ meeting, du Plessis said: “I think if you look closely, any players’ organization would say that a team they enjoy playing for is a team they feel supported for. »
“So if you look at the general manner of the Super Kings players that they have supported over the years, you can definitely see that consistency,” Joburg Super Kings captain Faf du Plessis speaks to the media in the JioStar press room ahead of SA20 Season 4.
“For someone like me, you know, 10 years with them in IPL and our three years at JSK and also Texas Super King. It’s a great franchise to be a part of.”
“I had the chance to play under big names like MS [Dhoni] And [Stephen] Flem[ing] has been there from the beginning. So that consistency is great to be a part of and I always really enjoy it,” he added.
Du Plessis Praises Tahir
Another key name in the Super Kings setup is Imran Tahir. The leg-spinner has appeared in 446 T20 matches and taken 570 wickets. The Joburg Super Kings signed him in the final round of bidding this year for a bargain price of R600,000.
Captain Faf du Plessis said Tahir’s energy and love for the game played a big role in bringing the franchise to the team.
“Imran is exceptional. He is one of those guys. I think he is the oldest cricketer, it is like a real competition. His passion for the game is contagious, when you are with him. He loves it so much. We are very grateful that he is with us again,” Du Plessis had responded to a question from CNN-News18 CricketNext during the SA20 India Day in November.
“I think in our heads we expected someone else to pick him as well. So we’re very lucky to have gotten him at that price. I still think he’s doing exactly what he’s done all the years. He continues to work hard and he’s a great human being. I’m so happy to have him back,” he added.
