Fabrizio Romano says Chelsea really wants to sign an “fantastic player” by Elite Club

Fabrizio Romano shared some transfer news about Chelsea this week, while the Enzo Maresca team is particularly interested in a very well rated player of an elite European team.

The Blues finished the window last summer as one of the highest expenditure teams in the Premier League, but managed to record a profit by selling a plethora of unwanted players.

Chelsea brought a multitude of offensive stars at that time, sealing agreements for Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens, Liam Delap and Facundo Buonanotte.
However, despite attempts to sign a new goalkeeper and a star central defender, Maresca’s team failed in this regard.
Chelsea had talks to sign the AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan, who wanted to join the West London, but could not get along on a prize. Meanwhile, defender Dean Huijsen has also been the subject of an offer from Chelsea, according to reliable media sources, only for Real Madrid finally won the race for the formerly coveted starlet of Bournemouth.
With Tosin Adarabioyo, Wesley Fofana, Levi Colwill and Trevoh Chalobah unavailable for their first league vital confrontation against Liverpool this weekend, Blueco has not signed a particular semicircle now returns to haunt them.
Jorrel Hato can play the heart of the defense if necessary, but is mainly considered a left back to cover Marc Cucurella.
That said, due to their large shortage of options, Maresca will have no choice but to play the Dutch alongside Benoit Badiashiles against Arne Slots on Saturday.
Chelsea wants to solve the problem of the central defender in January, and we think they contributed to interviews with Marc Guehi’s camp this week as they try to assess the feasibility of a winter agreement at a reduced price (Simon Phillips).
Guehi would be the perfect option with his contract expired at the end of the season, which potentially means that it is available for a very feasible fresh window, but it remains to be seen if Oliver Glasner would sanction its exit halfway from the countryside with Palace Flying High now.
Chelsea is also ready to return for Maignan and sign the Frenchman in pre-contract in January (Graeme Bailey), it therefore seems that the Maresca team is very aware of their fragile defensive when they make transfer plans for the beginning of 2026.
This does not mean that they have not yet had their eyes on the attack on new upgrades, however, the star of Juventus, Kenan Yildiz, will draw a real attention from Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea “very” interested in sign Kenan Yildiz
The international Turkey was the star player of Juve last season, taking 12 goals and nine assists in all competitions, and the old lady is well aware of the growing interest of England.
Yildiz continued this beautiful form in a second role of attacker under Igor Tudor this quarter, with two goals and four assists in seven games already.
Romano, speaking on his YouTube channel in Italian, says that Chelsea is “very” interested in sign Yildiz, but Juve plans to negotiate new conditions and keep it out of the claws of the Premier League.
“If Yildiz wanted to move to the Premier League, I assure you that he could have done so at the start of the transfer window,” said Romano.
“Chelsea has always been very interested, and the interest of the Premier League remains because Yildiz is a fantastic player, so it’s normal to see the attention of the big clubs.
“But Juventus, as I said, works on renewal and is optimistic; they want to reach a solution as soon as possible to challenge any other temptation for a champion like Kenan Yildiz.”
The 20 -year -old adapts to Chelsea’s recruitment strategy to the ground as one of the rising stars of Serie A, and they will undoubtedly continue to keep an eye on his exploits.
That being said, the much more urgent problem of Maresca is the gaping holes in its defense, which should absolutely take priority for a move for Yildiz at the moment.
