The rock would have liked to turn the heel of Cody Rhodes
Even if there have been teasing recently that Cody Rhodes could turn to the dark side, WWE still does not plan to make American nightmare a heel.
By Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling observer newsletter (H / T Steve Carrier of Ringside News), it is not currently planned to transform Rhodes despite some internal discussions, in particular the rock, to have possibly going in this direction.
Meltzer cited the internal data of WWE, in particular the popularity of Rhodes by sales of goods, the attendance of live events and the commitment of fans, as always very strong and reasons not to turn it.
This comes two months after confirmation of the rock Pat McAfee show That he made a field so that Rhodes turned the heel as part of his quarrel with John Cena leading to Wrestlemania.
Meltzer and Sean Ross SAPP of Fightful Select both reported that Rhodes had refused the idea of doing the heel, which prompted Cena to turn for the first time since 2003.
The Wrestlemania match between Rhodes and Cena saw part of the crowd turning against Rhodes, but it has otherwise been applauded since.
A big problem with the transformation of your upper Babyface heel is that you must have someone else who is just as strong in this role. Cena could now turn because of the way Rhodes has been.
It was the problem that WWE encountered in 2001 when Steve Austin aligned himself with Vince McMahon. Rock was still on the list, but his film career was starting to take off at that time.
There are certainly strong babyfacles on the current list, notably CM Punk, but WWE clearly believes that Rhodes is still too precious in this role to try fate by turning it.
Stone Cold would be open to one more game
Although he has already said that he had finished fighting, Austin at least keeps the door open to walk in the ring once again.
By Select Fightful (H / T Carrier), several people who interacted with Stone Cold Over Wrestlemania Weekend said that he was teasing the possibility of another match.
One person told Fighfful Select that Austin specifically said that he “could have one more than him”. He was pointed out that the bell serpent noted a scenario in which he struggled that “in the right circumstances”.
This is very different from what Austin says during the Wrestlemania weekend. WWE Hall of Famer said in the April 18 episode of Pat McAfee show (H / T Neal Flanagan by Post Wrestling) He “moved a little on the road” when he was asked to fight against another match.
Austin had nearly a perfect farewell to Wrestlemania 38 when he beat Kevin Owens in a match without carrying the main night event. It is even more remarkable that the match worked as well as that on the basis of Owens’ memory of how chaotic things led to this night.
In struggle, however, you can never say to anything. If the good opponent arrives, who can help Austin, who is now 60 years old, thanks to a good match, he could have one more moment under the spotlight.
John Cena’s final dates have not yet been finalized
After John Cena’s appearance in the Smackdown episode of John Cena, the undisputed WWE champion would have around 17 dates remaining during his retirement tour.

“It is like, 17 dates on the left or something? Is not the case.
There are eight upcoming appearances confirmed for Cena until October 11. Its current calendar does not include any dates in July, which could make the construction of Summerslam from August 2 to 3 if it is held.
Cena has recently been announced as appearing in the August 1 episode of Smackdown which will serve as a Go-Home show for Summerslam.
WWE did not officially announce the date of Cena’s last appearance before her retirement, but it is believed that TD Garden in his hometown of Boston will organize a live high -end event on December 27.
The next date of Cena’s retirement tour is June 27 when he defended the undisputed WWE title against CM Punk. This is the first single match between the two legends since February 2013 when Cena beat Punk for the right to challenge rock to Wrestlemania 29.
