Exchanged Harrison Phillips with jets in exchange for recovery choices
Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell shared similar feelings on the impact of Phillips.
“Harrison has noticed a lot for our team and our locker rooms since arriving in Minnesota three years ago,” said O’Connell. “He brought leadership, professionalism and consistency, helping to establish a standard for the culture that we wanted to create. While our candidate of Walter Payton Man of the Year in 2023, the impact that he and Shae had in the community speaks of herself. I am grateful for Harrison and the relationship we have constructed, and he really made us better ground.”
Phillips joined the Vikings in 2022 as a free agent after having passed his first four professional seasons in Buffalo.
He never missed an outing during his Minnesota mandate, starting the 51 regular season games and two playoff competitions. He totaled 207 plated, 6.5 bags, seven plated for the loss, seven defensive passes and two recovery escaped in three seasons.
Phillips helped anchor a defense of the Vikings in 2024 which ranked n ° 2 against the race, limiting the opponents to an average of only 93.4 yards on the ground per match. Minnesota ranked n ° 5 in the authorized points last season.
