Everton v Tottenham – Line-ups, stats and preview

Everton vs Tottenham Match Preview
Tottenham travel north to face an unbeaten Everton side at Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday afternoon, aiming to regain their consistency in the Premier League.
Thomas Frank’s side have managed just one win in their last five matches in all competitions, while David Moyes’ Toffees have made their new home a fortress.
After the chaos of last season, Spurs’ current sixth place represents progress, but recent results have raised some questions.
A 2-1 home defeat to Aston Villa last weekend extended their patchy form, leaving them five points behind leaders Arsenal and clinging to a top-six position.
Ironically, Tottenham’s home struggles stand in stark contrast to their impressive away record: they remain the only unbeaten away team in the Premier League this season, having taken 10 points from a possible 12.
A resilient midweek draw at Monaco in the Champions League showed their defensive improvement, as Guglielmo Vicario produced a remarkable performance to secure a clean sheet.
Everton, meanwhile, continue to thrive in front of their fans. Moyes’ men are unbeaten in their first four home league matches at their new ground, picking up eight points and conceding just three goals in that period. Their only setback last weekend came at Manchester City, losing 2-0 to Erling Haaland’s brace, but they remain firmly in mid-table with room to climb.
Team news for Everton vs Tottenham
Tottenham’s growing injury crisis shows few signs of improving. Cristian Romero (adductor) and Destiny Udogie (knee) have joined a long list of absentees that includes James Maddison (ACL), Ben Davies (muscle), Radu Dragusin (ACL), Dejan Kulusevski (knee), Kota Takai (foot), Dominic Solanke (ankle) and Yves Bissouma (ankle), the latter recovering from surgery.
Mathys Tel is back and could start after a knock on Wilson Odobert, while Randal Kolo Muani is pushing for his first Premier League start.
Everton welcome back Jack Grealish, who was ineligible against his parent club, Manchester City. However, Jarrad Branthwaite requires surgery on a hamstring injury and Nathan Patterson remains sidelined with a foot problem. Carlos Alcaraz could drop out to accommodate Grealish’s return.
Expected line-ups for Everton vs Tottenham Hotspur

Prediction
Given Tottenham’s long injury list and Everton’s formidable home form, this has all the makings of a close contest. Spurs’ away resilience should earn them something, but Moyes’ men rarely fail on Merseyside.
