Everton 1-4 Man Utd (October 12, 2025) Match Analysis

Substitute Jess Park scored twice late on as Manchester United came from behind to win 4-1 at Everton and extend their unbeaten run to six Women’s Super League matches.

United dominated the early stages at Hill Dickinson Stadium and created several early chances.

Elisabeth Terland headed high, then Lisa Naalsund fired wide before Fridolina Rolfö sent a low shot just off target at the near post.

Melvine Malard’s improvised kick forced Everton goalkeeper Emily Ramsey to make a smart reaction save from close range.

Jess Park scored twice in what was ultimately a comfortable 4-1 victory for Man United.

Despite so much pressure, Everton took the lead against the run of play in the 16th minute.

Yuka Momiki’s free kick into the box was blocked by Phallon Tullis-Joyce, but the ball fell to Honoka Hayashi who volleyed it back into the net.

United came close to equalizing in the 33rd minute when Norwegian striker Terland sent a low shot just wide of Malard’s cross after a quick counter-attack.

Ella Toone then saw her shot collected by Ramsey as the hosts held on until half-time.

United boss Marc Skinner made an attacking change early in the second half, with Park replacing Terland.

The visitors equalized in the 62nd minute when Malard, having been placed on the right side of the area, headed home a rebound after Ramsey had saved his initial effort.

United completed the turnaround 20 minutes from time when Toffees defender Hikaru Kitagawa diverted the ball into his own net after losing his balance in the penalty area.

Six minutes from time, Park, who had been on loan at Everton during the 2022-23 campaign, added United’s third via a deflection off Elise Stenevik before scoring her second goal of the match from the edge of the area.
