Events of September 11 to include walks, staircases at Clemson Stadium, Fluor Field, Plus

The terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 involved the diversion of four commercial aircraft in the United States.
Two of the planes were transported by plane in the twin rounds of the World Trade Center in New York, causing their possible collapse.
Another plane crashed into the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, causing significant damage to the building.
The fourth plane, United Airlines Flight 93, was heading for a target in Washington, DC, but crashed in a field in Pennsylvania after the passengers tried to regain control of the air pirates plane.

These tragic events led to the loss of nearly 3,000 lives and had a deep impact on the nation and the world.
In the years that followed, communities like Anderson, Greenville and Spartanburg have continued to honor people affected by commemorative services and commemorative events.
Here is a list of various events that take place in the north of the state where residents can honor those who have lost their lives, as well as the regional firefighters and the police.
Greenville Climb in Fluor Field
On September 6, the Greenville climb for Heroes 2025, also known as Greenville City Firefighters Memorial Stair Clair, will take place in Fluor Field, located at 945 S. Main St.
The doors will open at 6:30 am, with opening ceremonies starting at 8:30 am
Participants will climb 110 floors, symbolizing the height of the twin towers.

This event is open to the public and participants must register at https://nfff.akaraisin.com/ui/greenville25/about.
No pre -registration for observers is required.
This fundraising event benefits the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation to support the families of local firefighters and the FDNY consulting services unit.
Battle of softball heroes
The 5th annual match of the hero battle between police in the city of Greenville and the fire services will take place at Fluor Field on September 7.
Tickets only cost $ 5 with all profits for the benefit directly of the children’s hospital in Shriners.

The first throw of this charity softball match is scheduled for 3 p.m., and the main street doors of the stadium or will open at 2 p.m.
The festivities start at 2 p.m. outside the District 356 stadium with family activities, including meetings with police and firefighters, visits to first answering machine, inflatable games, makeup and ball art.
The beneficiary of this year’s match is the Shriners Children’s Hospital de Greenville.
The hospital has devoted its work to providing high quality specialized medical care to children and families of the state, regardless of their ability to pay or insurance status.
Never forget the endurance race of September 11
The Never Forget Endurance race on September 11 will take place on September 7 at 8 a.m. in Greer.
This event invites participants to run, walk or crawl for nine hours and 11 minutes.
Participants can choose between two races, with entry fees ranging from $ 64.60 to $ 80.50, which includes a free t-shirt.
This event is a tribute to resilience and the unit demonstrated in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks.

September 11 Observation in Landrum
On September 11 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the city of Landrum and the Landrum region’s fire and rescue district will host their annual commemorative observation of September 11 at the Historical Landrum deposit in honor of the victims of the September 11 attacks.
The event is a moment for the community to meet for the memory, reflection and unity to observe the Patriot Day.
September 11 commemorative march in Belton
The commemorative walk of September 11 in Remember in Belton will take place on September 7 at 6 p.m.
The 2.5-mile walk will start at the RockspRings fire service at 135 SC-413 and end in the Belton City fire service at 306 Anderson St.
This event, initiated by local fire services, honors the heroes who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.

Clemson Memorial Stair Climb
The climb of the commemorative staircase of September 11 of the Clemson University of 9/11 will be held on September 11 at Clemson’s Memorial Stadium, from 8 a.m.
It is free, but pre-registration is required.
The event honors the first stakeholders, in particular the Police Service of the Clemson University, the Clemson fire service and the Emergency Medical Services in Clemson.

Participants will have the opportunity to climb the equivalent of 110 floors, symbolizing the heroic efforts of the first stakeholders who climbed the twin rounds on this fateful day.
