Brad Pitt says that Se7en by David Fincher invigorated his love of action

Brad Pitt could have lost his way in the Hollywood machine if it was not for the work of David Fincher.
During a recent appearance on the Dax Shepard “chair expert” podcast, Pitt said that “the most unhealthy time” in his life came in the summer of 1994 after a series of negative experiences working on superproductions. Confused on what to do in his full but unsatisfactory career in his career, Pitt explained that he needed time to “discover” in Hollywood.
“I would wake up, I would get a burden of Bang, I would have four Coca-Colas on the ice, no food,” said Pitt. “This summer in particular, I watched the OJ test, and I was just trying to understand:” What should I do next? What should I do next? “”
His answer came in the form of the “SE7En” script, which was sent to him by his manager. Although he did not immediately captured Pitt, he was completely on board after reading him and met Fincher.
“My dear friend and manager and, fundamentally my sister now, Cynthia, sends [the ‘Se7en’ script] more, “recalls Pitt.” She says, “You have to read this. I read the first seven pages, I call it, I will, “Do you laugh at me?” The old cliché cop wants to go out, the young cop enters and he looks at his secondary football trophies? She says, “Finish him. Then I’m going to meet Finch, and he just talked about movies like I had never heard of a film. I just recovered the Jones. Finding this thing … it just invigorated what I wanted for this thing. »»
Released in 1995, “Se7en” became one of the most emblematic films of filmography linked to Fincher. After two cops in search of a serial killer who uses the seven fatal sins as reasons to kill, the film also features Morgan Freeman, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kevin Spacey.
