Erriyon Knighton Ban: Sprinter has given the four -year doping ban while the case is settled in favor of calls by world athletics and AMA

The United States Sprinter Erriyon Knighton received a four-year ban after the Sports Arbitration Court partially confirmed the calls for world athletics and the world anti-doping agency against the decision not to suspend it.
The 21 -year -old was tested positive for Trenbolone – a prohibited substance used for muscle growth – in March 2024.
He avoided a ban following the decision of an independent referee and was authorized to compete at the 2024 Olympic Games, but is now prohibited with immediate effect.
Knighton, who finished fourth in the 200m in Paris last summer, was not selected in the American team for the world championships, which take place from September 13 to 21 in Tokyo, Japan.
He was intimately eliminated after submitting evidence stating that the unfavorable conclusions were due to the contamination of meat.
Global athletics and wada have found that evidence “is not below the proof of the required source” and were “statistically impossible”, and cases now ruled in their favor.
“The case panel determined that there was no evidence that would support the conclusion that the beef tail imported into the United States would be likely to contain Trenbolone residues at the level necessary for having caused the unfavorable analytical observation of the athlete,” said case.
