Tottenham agrees with 55 million pounds sterling to sign Mohammed Kudus from West Ham

Tottenham concluded an agreement in principle to sign Mohammed Kudus from West Ham in a transfer worth around 55 million pounds sterling, according to reports.

The 24 -year -old is expected to undergo a medical medical on Thursday before finalizing a six -year contract with the Northern London team before the new season.

Spurs initially submitted an offer of 50 million pounds sterling for the international of Ghana, which was rejected. Negotiations have since progressed, with Kudus now ready to change after expressed a clear preference for Tottenham if he left West Ham.

The personal terms between the player and the club are not planned to put complications.

The current Kudus agreement with West Ham, signed after its 41.5 million euros move from Ajax in 2023, takes place until 2028.

This contract includes a liberation clause valid only in the first 10 days of July – 80 million pounds sterling for European clubs, 85 million pounds sterling for the Premier League teams and 120 million sterling pounds for the professional Saudi teams.

Last season, Kudus played 35 Premier League matches, contributing five goals and four assists.

Although a slight drop in the counting of eight goals from its first season and nine assists, the midfielder remains highly appreciated for its technical capacity, its flair and its versatility, the qualities of Tottenham would have targeted within the framework of their summer reconstruction.

The interest of the Spurs for Kudus aligns with a wider effort to strengthen their attack options. The club recently obtained the permanent signature of Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich following a successful loan spell.

Tottenham also followed Brentford winger, Bryan Mbeumo, who previously worked under the head coach of the new Spurs, Thomas Frank.
