Eric Idle says he spoke to her before she died in Los Angeles

Eric Idle revealed he spoke on the phone with “intelligent, talented and very caring” Rob Reiner just hours before Reiner and his wife were killed at their Los Angeles home.
The Monty Python alum tweeted early this morning Los Angeles time that he spoke to Reiner “for over an hour” last night on the phone.
“He was talking to me about filming [sic] at Stonehenge and his thoughts for the future,” Idle added. “It’s so horrible. I’m going to miss him. An intelligent, talented and very caring man. So horrible.
Idle said he had known Reiner for 50 years, having “met him at his father’s house in 1975.” The two men were good friends. Reiner was friends with the old Monty Python troupe and, at the time of his death, was working on a Fawlty Towers reboot with John Cleese, which he and his wife produced.
Reiner and his wife, photographer-producer Michele Singer Reiner, were found dead Sunday in their Brentwood home. Family confirmed their deaths, the LAPD is investigating and sources said the cause was a stabbing, although the LAPD is not confirming details at this time.
