Cubs put Horton on il, leading the recruit to open playoffs

Chicago – The Cubs placed the right -hander Cade Horton on the 15 -day injured list on Saturday due to a fracture of the coast, the team announced, eliminating all chance of launching it in Joker’s round next week.
Horton, 24, initially injured coughing while he was sick last week in Cincinnati. He left his last departure Tuesday after two rounds.
Imaging showed a problem on his back / chop, but the cubs thought they could go ahead despite the disease. Horton played Catch on Friday and Saturday before the Cubs say he would be on the injured list.
“He was released and launched today. He could really feel the coast. There was discomfort,” said Jed Hoyer, president of Cubs, president of baseball operations. “He couldn’t let go and throw as he needed it.”
Horton had become the best starter of Cubs despite his recruit. He had 8-1 with an MPM of 1.03 in 12 departures in the second half before leaving his final release early Tuesday against the dishes. He is the favorite to win the prize for the recruit of the year of the national league, but will not be eligible to launch the playoffs before at least match 5 of the division series.
Hoyer said he had no exact calendar for Horton’s return.
The Cubs will face the Padres of San Diego in Joker’s round, from Tuesday. Horton was a possible starting from Match 1, which means that the Cubs are likely to turn to Matthew Boyd for this role with Shota Imanaga also at stake. Righty Jameson Taillon or Colin Rea could also start after having had a strong finishes in the season.
