Dennis Cirkin from Sunderland, Adam Wharton of Crystal Palace and Dane Scarlett from Tottenham Hotspur did not join England during the tournament due to medical problems.

“Merlin is very versatile. He can play in many positions. I want to see who is available first, so we will see where he needs.”
