England: Thomas Tuchel plans to use long jets in the World Cup

“The jets -ins are underestimated – by coaches, players, commentators, fans – like something you should simply do and see what is happening,” said Thomas Gronnemark, who was appointed first Liverpool return coach in 2018 and worked with the club until 2023.
Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, had not even heard of a return coach when the Danish, who holds the world record for the longest return to 51.33 m, joined club staff.
But the statistics of possession of the Throw-ins rods went from 45.4% to 68.4% under the Gronnemark tumor, from 18th to the first of the League on this metric.
The Premier League clubs try to exploit the power of the long throw, with throws at least 20 meters, which ends with the opposition box going from 0.9 per match in 2020-21 to 1.5 in 2024-25.
Meanwhile, the long throws that led to goals went from 0.03% in 2020-2010 to 0.38% in 2024-25.
GRONNEMARK is now working with Brentford – it is therefore not surprising that bees have excelled in this area. Last season, they scored five goals of Throw-ins, generating 48 chances with an XG of 7.2.
And now, their former manager Thomas Frank – after his summer move in northern London – uses similar tactics with Tottenham.
The Spurs did only six long throws in the opposition sanction zone last season – they already made it eight.
