England makes hasty changes to Squad after the defeat of Edgbaston, rope in additional pace

Half an hour after their defeat of 336 points against India in Edgbaston, the England team added the Gus Atkinson stimulator to the team for the third test at Lord’s, from July 10. Adding could be the result of various factors – Brydon Carse is not part of the best form to play.

Meanwhile, Gus Atkinson also returns to the team after undergoing a hamstring injury during the last test against Zimbabwe in May. In the 12 tests he has played so far, he has been exceptional for his side, picking up 55 counters and even a ton.
But then, injuries in the Bowling department, or even the insignia, would make Ben Stokes difficult to choose an XI for the Lord’s match. On the other hand, Team India would be more supported by the presence of Jasprit Bumrah, who has already taken a five in the series.
