Thomas Tuchel’s team will reach the World Cup if she won three points in Latvia, and Serbia does not win her two games against Albania and Andorra. A draw would be enough for the three Lions if Serbia was drawing a draw against Albania and could not defeat Andorra.
Therefore, this is a potentially delicate match to manage for Tuchel and his Welsh counterpart Craig Bellamy. Neither the other will want to give up land to her nearby neighbors, but neither will want to take risks with the staff before next week.
The situation is slightly easier for England given its position of strength during qualifications and its greatest pool of resources from which to choose.

Even if England may be “stacked”, this leads to an endless debate on the selection of teams. For this double program, Tuchel has chosen to leave aside the Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden, Adam Wharton and Jack Grenish.
