Enderlin Tornado went to EF-5 after a thorough review

Fargo, ND (Valley News Live) –
The Enderlin Tornado # 1 of June 20, 2025 was officially passed to an EF-5 of the National Weather Service in Grand Forks. This occurs after an in-depth review, including wind estimates of the wind of medical and legal damages.
The original preliminary note of the tornado was an EF-4 with estimated cutting-edge winds of 180 MPH, but this was subjected to a more in-depth examination. After a more in -depth examination, the estimated cutting -edge winds were at least 210 MPH. The evidence examined included several fully busy grain hopper cars which were overturned and the lofting of oil cars, including an empty oil tanker car which was launched at around 475.5 feet, according to the National Weather Service. Damage to trees near the Maple river east of Ederlin were also reanalyzed and found that the root balls were moved. The NWS says that the new estimate of the peak wind is also more closely correlated with the speed data relating to the storm of the radar.
This is the first note of Tornado EF-5 from Moore, Oklahoma in 2013, and the first of ND since the Tornado Fargo of 1957.
The Enderlin Tornado cost 3 people’s lives.
