Voice Ai Company Elevenlabs has just published an autonomous mobile application for iOS and Android users to generate voice clips from text.
Until now, if you had to generate samples using vocal libraries powered by Elevenlabs, you have had to trust its web application. You can now use its mobile application to generate clips on the go.
To use the application, type or simply stick in the text, then select an appropriate voice to generate an audio clip. The free plan gives users access to approximately 10 minutes of audio generation. You can choose different models to balance the cost and quality, and you will have a credit limit shared between the web and the mobile application.
Elevenlabs also said that the application has access to V3 Alpha, its new vocal text models, which allow users to control expressions with tags.
Jack McDermott, the company’s mobile growth manager, told Techcrunch that many creators are already using a mobile web browser to create voice samples to use in videos with other applications like Capcut, Instagram or Inshot. Seeing this request, the company wanted to build a native experience.
“During the past year, we have seen an explosion of the creativity of our community – content creators, marketing specialists, educators, vocal artists and professionals who use Elevenlabs to give life to projects.
The company will also compete with other vocal cloning tools such as discourse and legends.
This is the second consumer -oriented application of Elevenlabs after publishing the Reader application last year to allow users to listen to articles, blogs, PDFs and electronic books on the go. Earlier this year, he also opened the Reader application for publishers to distribute audio books.
In the future, the company aims to publish other new features such as text speaking and a conversational AI agent tool and plans to add experiences fueled by MCP such as 11.AI to the application.
