Edmonton Oilers vs. Toronto Maple Leafs | Game Preview, Predictions and Odds

The Edmonton Oilers made headlines Friday morning after trading Stuart Skinner, Brett Kulak and a 2029 second-round pick to the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for Tristan Jarry and Sam Poulin. Edmonton also acquired defenseman Spencer Stastney from the Nashville Predators in exchange for a 2027 third-round draft pick.

Oilers general manager Stan Bowman provided insight into the two-time Stanley Cup finalists’ decision to trade their number one goaltender in exchange for an older goaltender in Tristan Jarry.

“I just felt like it was time to do something different. It’s not really a comment on Stuart Skinner. Maybe it’s just time to do something different here,” Bowman said.
