EDM fans react to Oilers D-man’s $42M 17-point, 13-game rally after distraught start

Edmonton Oilers fans on social media have responded to defenseman Evan Bouchard for his strong rebound after a rough start to the season.

Bouchard has established himself as one of the Oilers’ most in-form players, accumulating 17 points (three goals and 14 assists) with a +11 record in his last 13 games.

Evan Bouchard, currently signed to a four-year contract worth $42 million, has 27 points on five goals and 22 assists in 29 games this season.

Evan Bouchard has five points in the Oilers’ last two wins

Evan Bouchard has been on fire for the Edmonton Oilers in their last two victories. In the 9-4 win over the Kraken, Bouchard contributed three points, and in Sunday’s 6-2 win over the Winnipeg Jets, he had two more, totaling five points as the Oilers ride a two-game winning streak.

Oilers fans are hoping to see Bouchard maintain the same level of performance when the team faces the Buffalo Sabers on Tuesday. Puck drop at Rogers Place will be called at 9 p.m. ET.
