Edgewood avenue Atlanta Mass Tir 1 killed 10 others injured

Details still emerged on Monday morning in the incident.

Atlanta – A chaotic and violent night took place along the Edgewood avenue in Atlanta from Sunday to Monday morning, while the police responded to a shooting involving 11 victims, one of them killed.

Police responded to block 300 of Avenue Edgewood, a popular nightlife gang in the Sweet Auburn district, around 1:30 am, said Atlanta police captain Jeff Childers. He said that the other 10 victims were all supposed to be in a stable state.

The victim who was killed was described as a 27 -year -old man. The other 10 victims were described as 18-29 years and one was in surgery around 5:30 am

There was limited information on how the shooting took place. Captain Childers could not immediately confirm if there were several shooters, but said that the suspect or the suspects would have been on foot. The police captain added that there were “several shells” on the scene.

A woman who lives in the region spoke with Dan Kennedy of 11alive and, adding to the uncertainty surrounding the incident, said that she had seen a group of people armed with firearms and carrying backpacks late Sunday evening Sunday evening in the middle of the street watch inside the cars while rolling Edgewood.

There were at least two other shooting scenes on Edgewood Sunday, although Captain Childers said they were not believed to be linked. In one, a person has been found several times at Edgewood and Hilliard Street in what the police described as a parking dispute. This person was taken to Grady in a stable state.

Another person was killed at the ankle at some point in Edgewood and Boulevard, and this victim was also stable.

There is also an investigation into the death that occurs not far from Edgewood at the Freedom Parkway ramp connecting to the I-75/85. There was no indication that had no connection with the mass shot.

Incidents continue a violent weekend in Atlanta, now with more than 30 people shot dead since Thursday.
