Ebelechi Eze: Crystal Palace Star talks about the victory of the FA Cup, the ambitions of the title of Premier League, the Eze Foundation and the Hopes of England | Football news

“Everything there is for me to win, I want to win, and I will do everything I can to win the Premier League.”

The lyrics of a radiant ebechi Eze who has just enjoyed his best season. A winning goal in the FA Cup final to descend Manchester City and win Crystal Palace their first major honor in 163 years of history has only made its appetite.

May 17, 2025 marked an opportunity that he had already played in his head throughout his childhood. So, although significant, it was not a shock.

“I dreamed of playing at this level and doing things like that since when I was young, so I saw it happening in my head for years.

“For me, it’s just the manifestation of something that has been in my mind, something for which I pray.

“I am probably not as surprised as everyone, but of course, I am grateful to God to have the opportunity to be in this position.

“To be able to do this and bring a trophy south of London, it is the greatest thing, something that the club has never had before – a trophy. So, to be part of the team that did this, I have almost no words.”

Ebelechi Eze is thinking about his FA Cup victory with Crystal Palace and talks about his “The Eze Foundation” foundation

In many ways, the Chemin d’Eze towards a triumph of Wembley is proof that the continuation of success is not linear. Eze’s journey is the one that started with rejection at a young age, Arsenal, Fulham and Millwall all letting him go before he was 18 years old.

But now in Palace, he draws strings that have never been fired for the club, written in folklore and standing on the shoulders of the giants, who could not achieve what he and his teammates have.

Eze: Giving it back has always been in our hearts

Ebelechi Eze spoke to Sky Sports during the third Eze Foundation Annual Invitational.

It aims to bring young people together to provide them with the possibility of playing at a zero cost. The invitation itself is hosted by Ebelechi itself.

“We want to give them the opportunity to play football for free and discover what it is to be in a club like this, to be in an environment like this and to have no worries to play football.

“Giving it back has always been something that is in our hearts.”

“You look at the players who played in this club; key players who were part of the foundation to be a premier league club and maintain this status.

“I understand that it is not that we have not just presented ourselves and won a trophy, there are so many things that have entered this area and so many things that happened in advance and allowed this to be possible.

“It is gratitude and recognition so that we are in this position, we to be those who raised it, but also a deep appreciation for everything that preceded us. All those who have passed in front of us, everything that was done – this is only part of the trip.”

The man credited with having gathered all this from the top is Oliver Glasner, who, according to Eze, can deliver much more for Palace.

“He is a high -level coach, a high -level guy, there are great things to come,” said Eze

“He is intense and he is convinced of what he believes, knows what he wants from his players, his team.

“I have the impression that it showed the way we play especially towards the end of the season. How the form we have picked up, the processes is what he motivated, that is what he understands. He knows that if he has a team that does what he wants, he is convinced that we can win and that it was the motto for the whole season.”

The boss of England Thomas Tuchel was present to watch the heroism of Wembley d’Eze. In March, during the second Tuchel match in charge of the national team, Eze scored his first goal in England, which added to the headache of the German boss with regard to his selection of escouadies. The competition for places is something that adds to the excitement of Eze before the World Cup next year.

“Being in the England team is always the goal. You want to become a pillar in the team, you want to win your position in the team is something that I try to do every day. Of course, there is so much competition.

“So many different players to choose for the manager, so it’s not necessarily easy job, but for me, all I can do is continue to play my football, continue to do what I do, keep enjoying my football and I try not to focus as much.

“I cannot affect what I’m doing right now, so I hope that if I do what I do now, it will take care of itself.

“I am very excited [about England]I appreciate my football right now, I feel good. I did a lot of injuries and a bit of a strange start to the season, a strange median part of the season too, so being in this position now and feeling good, feeling free and able to express myself fully, that’s all I want to do.

“I believe in myself, so as long as I can do it, so I always trust that I have a chance.”

So what then after your best season? For Eze – More of the same thing:

“I just want to enjoy, express, entertain, bring love to people in the stands when they watch me play and win”
