Eagles DT Jalen Carter (heel) out vs. Giants for TNF

The Philadelphia Eagles ruled out defensive tackle Jalen Carter for Thursday night’s Week 6 game against the New York Giants, sidelining the third-year stalwart with a heel injury after being added late to the final injury report.
Carter is on the Eagles’ inactive list after being seen on the field before the game at MetLife Stadium, but did not undergo any warmups. With Carter unavailable, Philadelphia will rely on a rotation of Jordan Davis, Moro Ojomo, Za’Darius Smith, Byron Young, rookie Ty Robinson and practice squad elevation Gabe Hall.
Left guard Landon Dickerson (ankle) and tight end Grant Calcaterra (oblique) were also inactive after being ruled out Wednesday.
Carter, 24, had been active for every game this season before Thursday, although he was ejected for spitting in the season opener against Dallas before playing a snap. He was limited in Wednesday’s estimate, his first appearance on the injury report this week.
He has 10 tackles, one tackle for loss and six quarterback hits this year. In three seasons with the Eagles, Carter had 85 tackles, 21 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks.
