Eagles beat the cowboys to launch the regular 2025-26 season

The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Dallas 24-2020 cowboys when the NFL 2025-26 regular season is opened. Philly managed to survive Dallas after the match was arrested for more than an hour because of a lightning storm.
Penalties have also played a huge role in this competition. There were only six offenses called to the first quarter only, which led to 76 penalty yards. Overall, these teams combined for 152 penalties.
Despite all the flags that were launched, this match started with four consecutive touched training. Philly and Dallas have set up nearly 400 yards combined in the first half. However, the offensive fireworks have slowed considerably due to a delay in the lightning storm in the third quarter, which interrupted the match for about an hour and five minutes.
One of the biggest moments of the night came before one or the other team played an offensive game. After the start of the opening, the defensive line of the Eagles Star, Jalen Carter, was ejected from the game for apparently spitting on the quarter of the Dallas Cowboys, Dak Prescott, who was seen spit in the direction of Carter immediately before the incident. His absence clearly had an impact on Philly’s ability to stop Dallas’s offensive, who walked on the field in just over three minutes to mark a touch and take a 7-0 lead on the first possession of the evening. With this score, the cowboys equaled their total opening rounds for the entire 2024-25 season.
The Eagles did not hesitate in the face of early adversity, however. Philly gathered a dominant journey of ten games and 65 yards which was completed by a touched four yards by the quarter-arre and the MVP of the Super Bowl Lix Jalen hurts to equalize things 7-7.
The cowboys responded with their own affected, thanks in part to a 34 yards defensive interference penalty on the Eagles. Two games later, Dallas, the Ball bearer Javonte Williams, struck his way in the goal area for a Yard touch to recover the advance, putting the cowboys at 14-7. Williams ended the evening with 54 yards on the ground and two affected during his debut in the regular season of Dallas Cowboys.
Meanwhile, Philly Saquon Barkley’s ball carrier resumed where he stopped last season, while he ran for 2,005 yards, the eighth yards on the ground never in a single season. Tonight, he had 60 yards on the ground, 24 reception yards and a touch on the ground.
Jalen Hurts was an individual show in the first half. He opened the match by going six for six passes with 31 yards, 43 yards on the ground and two touched on the ground on the first two offensive possessions of Philly. His second TD equaled the 14-14 match in the second quarter.
After a basket of 41 yards on the ground, Philly responded with a reception of 51 yards by the large receiver Jahan Dotson. This finally led to a hit on the ground of ten yards of Saquon Barkley, giving the Eagles their first advance of the night, 21-17. However, Dallas would leave another basket in less than a minute, bringing the scoring to 21-20 at halftime.
The offensive explosion continued in the second half with a basket of 58 yards by Jake Elliott to extend the advance of Philly at 24-20. It was a remarkable achievement for Elliott because he only made two of his nine attempts last season at more than 50 yards.
The only turnover of the game only reached the end of the third quarter. The choice of draft of Eagles Jihaad Campbell has stripped Dallas Couring Miles Sanders from football. This escape was picked up by the Philly Quinyon Mitchell corner half, ending a cowboys player who goes to the ten-meter line of the Eagles. This means Mitchell’s first escaped recovery at the NFL level.
After the escape, the match went within an hour weather time, with a reversing game around 11:30 p.m. Hae. The break affected the two teams because Philadelphia and Dallas combined for five consecutive boots after seven consecutive records to open the match.
While dragging by four points, the cowboys were faced with a 4th and 3 of their own 44 yards line with two minutes to play. Unfortunately for Dallas fans, the Lamb Lamb’s Large Receiver dropped a deep pass near the touch line to all, except to give the Eagles victory. Until then, Lamb had recorded seven receptions for 110 yards.
Philly recovered the ball and was forced in a 3rd and 3 side of Dallas on the ground. However, Jalen Hurts picked up the first bass with his legs, guaranteeing the victory of the Eagles. With this victory, the defending champions of the Super Bowl now have a 16-5 sheet during their regular season openers in the past 21 years.
The two teams will be left for the next ten days. During the second week, the cowboys will face the New York giants at home, while the Eagles will go on the road to face the Kansas City chiefs in a revenge of the Super Bowl.
