Dwyane Wade explains why James Harden made clippers a desirable destination for Bradley Beal

After his acquisition of the Phoenix Suns, Bradley Beal signed with Los Angeles ClippersJoining a group in charge of veterans hunting for an NBA title. The Grand Dwyane Wade of the NBA thinks it was the perfect landing point for Beal at this stage of his career.

On his podcast “Time Out With Dwyane Wade”, the former superstar Heat said that the clippers were probably an attractive destination for Beal, 32, due to the opportunity to play with James Harden, who is considered an excellent teammate.

“I think Bradley is in a place where he wanted to be,” said Wade. “He plays with a James player with whom he probably wanted to play for some time. Many players want to play with James because of his playing capacity. I heard that James is a good leader too. I have never been in the locker room with him, but I heard guys talk very well about James Harden in this locker room.”

The mowers, who will count on many key players over 30 years old, are Bucking the current trend in the NBA. The youngest player of the planned rotation of the team for the coming season is John Collins, who is 28 years old when the opening evening goes.

Apart from that, Harden is 35, Kawhi Leonard is 34, Brooks Lopez is 37 years old and Chris Paul is 40 years old. Beal will play with a more experienced and mature group in Los Angeles, which is another reason why it was a good adjustment, according to Wade.

“To go as a veteran and play with other veterans at that time of his career, it is probably something that is necessary, wanted and very important for him,” said Wade. “Being with guys who have grown up like hell. It is a different thing when you are around this kind of energy.”

When entering the 2025-26 campaign, it is undeniable that the clippers have talents on the list. The big question will be whether they can all stay on the ground together, given wear on their bodies, but Wade is optimistic.

“I look forward to it,” said Wade. “You look at this programming, and the only thing you can say is:” If they can remain healthy. “It’s a good thing.

Beal will enter his 14th NBA season this fall, and he is still looking for his first championship. This is the case for several veterans on the list, including Harden and Paul. It will be fascinating to see if they can collect everything and make at least one more race in a ring.
