DWTS Pros Reveal Their Dream Night Dances and Favorite Moments

If I had the opportunity to choreograph my own Signing evening dance, I would devote my dance to “My mother. She has been the glue of our family since we were children. No matter what we were going through or how hard things were, she kept us together. Even in times when life didn’t seem normal, she made us feel that way. Her strength, resilience, and love are the reason my family is as strong as it is today.”
The song I want to dance to alone Signing evening would be “‘For All We Know’ by Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway. It’s a song that my mother and I always loved to listen to together, and every time I hear it, I remember telling her that one day I would choreograph the most beautiful routine in her honor.”
My favorite moment of the season so far was “Choreographing my book signing party with Jordan Chiles and his father. Working with the two of them brought something to dance that I didn’t even think was possible. It’s the first time I’ve created a real emotional connection in a piece. Normally I portray the idea of a father figure, but this time I was able to witness a real story unfolding right in front of me.
For me, this routine isn’t just about Jordan and his dad. It’s also about recognizing the father-daughter bond and how it reflects something I’ve been missing in my own life. In many ways, creating and performing this piece helped me heal a part of myself by celebrating the love and stability that I didn’t grow up with. So when people watch our Dedication Night dance, they not only see its story, they see how powerful those relationships can be.
The next theme evening that I am looking forward to “It was originally Halloween, but now I’m really looking forward to Wicked Night. I’m a huge Wicked fan, and with our song and our style, it’s going to be a real technical challenge – but it’s a challenge I’m looking forward to taking on. And I have to say, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame party will be very special too.
