Dutch GP: Lando Norris dominates the final training in Zandvoort of the teammate of McLaren Oscar Piastri before the qualifications | F1 News

Lando Norris finished scanning specific to training at the Dutch Grand Prix to assert himself as a favorite for qualifications in Zandvoort later on Saturday.
After dominating the two sessions on Friday, Norris was the fastest in the end of 0.242 in Oscar Piastri, who heads his McLaren teammate in the pilot championship.
On a track which continued to evolve after the rains in the morning, Norris was faster in all sectors of the final race for flexible tires compared to Piastri and is on the right track to repeat his post and his victory of Zandvoort last year.
“Lando seems to have the upper hand and will take a psychological advantage to qualify because it was the fastest in the three practice sessions,” said Sky Sports F1‘S Karun Chandhok.
“But you can never count Oscar because he always seems to keep his pocket for qualifying. It should be shiny.”
George Russell de Mercedes finished third but 0.886 behind Pace-Setter Norris, who won three of the last four races. Russell is the subject of an investigation for a bizarre incident where he almost collided with Fernando Alonso from Aston Martin before entry to the stand during the final training.
Carlos Sainz de Williams impressed in fifth, in front of the hero of the house Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc de Ferrari.
Lewis Hamilton ran widely on his qualification simulation, therefore finished the 14th session, but showed a competitive pace earlier in his Ferrari.
