Ducks sign Lacombe to an eight -year contract extension

Defender 6-2, 208 pounds recorded 2-15 = 17 points and 24 pim in 71 games with Anaheim in his first NHL season in 2023-24. He ranked seventh in assists and eighth points among the defenders recruited from all time. He made his debut in the NHL with the Ducks at the end of the 2022-23 season after his collegial career, appearing in two competitions. He scored his first career goal in the NHL on January 20, 2024 in San Jose in addition to his first career in the NHL Point (Assist), on October 15, 2023 against Carolina.
Selected by Anaheim in the second round (39th in total) of the NHL 2019 recovery, Lacombe recorded 19-80 = 99 points with a note of +53 and 47 pim in 140 career NCAA games with the University of Minnesota (Big Ten) of 2019-23. He led the defenders of Minnesota in points and goals in each of his last three seasons, including 2020-21 (4-17 = 21 in 27 games) and 2021-22 (3-27 = 30 in 39 games) and 2022-23 (9-26 = 35 in 37 games). He also ranked in the top 10 of all NCAA Blueliners in 2020-21 (eighth) and 2022-23 (fourth), and attends in 2020-21 (fifth, 17), 2021-22 (second, 27), 2022-23 (equal to the seventh, 26).
Lacombe helped the Golden Gophers reach the NCAA 2023 championship match as a senior in 2022-2023 while helped Minnesota reach four times Frozen (2020, 2022 and 2023). In Minnesota, he was appointed to the second All-American team of the NCAA in 2020-21, in the first team of All-Star Big 10 in 2020-21 and to the second team of stars twice (2021-22, 2022-23). In the first year in 2019-20, he won the honors of the All-Rokie Big Ten team.
Originally from Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Lacombe helped the American team win gold for the first time in 92 years in the 2025 world championship. He scored 2-3 = 5 points and ranked third among the tournament leaders with a note of +11. He also helped the Americans to win gold in the 2021 junior world championship and represented his country at the Hlinka Gretzky U-18 2018 Cup.
