Ducks QB Dante Moore’s most recent favorite of Heisman

Five official weeks of the 2025 university football season have now produced half a dozen favorites from the Heisman trophy.
The new main candidate is the quarter of Oregon Dante Moore, who reached first place in most sports books after the victory of the Ducks 30-24 in Penn State on Saturday. Moore completed 29 of the 39 passes for 248 yards and three affected while the Oregon improved at 5-0, and it is now the favorite of +750 Heisman at Betmgm and Draftkings, among others.
Moore started the season at +2,000, but benefited from a combination of injuries and games less than five other quarters that spent time at the top: Texas’ Arch Manning, Garrett Nussmeier de Lsu, Lanorris sellers from Oklahoma, Fernando Mendoza d’Oklahoma and Fernando Mendoza.
The climb of Moore has so far been pale compared to that of the quarter of the Alabama, Ty Simpson, which has opened its doors. An opening of the season against Florida was another setback, but Simpson has impressed since. This includes the launch for 276 yards and a pair of affected in the victory of Saturday in Georgia, after which Simpson made its way to the No. 2 of the favorite Heisman at +900 with Draftings.
The whole mixture among quarters of the marquee has also helped the Ohio State Jeremiah Smith’s recipient campaign. It is now equal for the most third ratings at +1100 with Beck and Mendoza.
Smith has accumulated 396 yards and four affected on 28 catches in five games. Mendoza briefly reached Heisman’s favorite perch last week, but slipped as a result of a modest performance in a tight victory on Iowa.

Miami’s quarter-tree, Carson Beck, was inactive during the weekend before a critical match for his Hopes of Heisman in Rival Florida State this Saturday. He currently has the second shortest dimensions in Betmgm, where Smith and Simpson are both offered at +1000 ahead of Mendoza and the quarter of Tennessee Joey Aguilar at +1300.
Simpson was +2,000 in the book last week. In addition to the great victory in Georgia campaign injuring Gunner Stockton, Simpson benefited from Nussmeier de Lsu and Jayden Maiava de Southern Cal undergoing losses during the weekend.
One of the biggest elevators of this week was the quarter of Vanderbilt Diego Pavia, who went from +5,000 to +1,500 after counting six affected in a rout of the state of Utah. Miss Trinidad Chambliss’s quarterrier, who was not even part of Betmgm’s painting, also entered the Betmgm painting. But it is now +1,500 after orchestrated the 24-19 upheaval of LSU.
The constant fluctuation of the Heisman race before the calendar itself is an important victory for sports books.
Betmgm said its four largest responsibilities on the market are Notre-Dame, Jeremiyah Love, Manning, Mateer and Venders. Manning has always been supported by the most money (12%), followed by Nussmeier (8.8), Mateer (7.6) and sellers (7.1). Love, which opened at +5000, is still outside the conversation at +2,500 while drawing 4.7% of money.
The biggest threat to the book is Smith, which was supported by 6.9% of money and 8.0% of betting since the opening at +1300.
