Before Atlanta’s dream started a six -day road trip, the team will welcome the Valkyries of Golden State on Monday in College Park, Georgia, for the first meeting between the two franchises.

Atlanta (11-7) enters the game after dropping three of his last four, including a setback of 80-79 Thursday against the Seattle storm, in which Skylar Diggins marked the winning lay-up with 3.4 seconds to play. The dream led by four with less than a minute to play before Seattle joined for victory.

The team of the first year head coach Karl Pmesko will probably have the second rider Rhyne Howard (16.8 points per game) for Monday’s match. Howard, who was named a reserve of stars on Sunday, missed Seattle’s match with a maximum injury of the body but returned to training on Sunday.

With an important marker away, PMEMESKO tries to take a positive look at things, even as disappointing as the last result of the dream.

“Very frustrating not to have finished this match,” said PMEMESKO. “But for us to be in this position, it shows the quality of the team we have. We just have to finish these matches. I think we have the creation of a big team. Now, we only have a little more than half a season to arrive where we have to arrive, and that includes me.”

Atlanta follows the New York Liberty by a match at the top of the Eastern Conference classification, but will have to catch up next to their home, because the dream will not return to Georgia before July 29, when they will face Golden State again. Allisha Gray leads Atlanta with 19.1 points per game, while Brionna Jones adds 14 points and 8.1 rebounds per competition.

Golden State (9-8) turned his sequence of two consecutive victories against the Lynx of Minnesota during a defeat of 82-71 on the road-the first of four in Valkyries on the road. During the first season of the expansion club, Golden State had a 7-3 file at home, but filed five of the seven of the Chase Center-a number of head coach Natalie Nakase will seek to resolve on Monday.

“We have to try to use this hostility that goes against us,” said Nakase. “Either you block it, or you claim that they encourage us. I think that’s how our players see it. I think they did a great job to stay focused.”

Kayla Thornton leads Golden State with 14.9 points per game, followed by the 14th year of Tiffany Hayes. Hayes punctuated the team with 23 points in the defeat in Minnesota.
