Doomsday must solve the most ridiculous problem with Bucky Barnes

Each super-fueled person has weakness. In any case, one of the MVPs in the Marvel cinematographic universe should have really improved his skills now, given the number of appearances he made. The former winter soldier and a member of the Bucky Barnes Congress (Sebastian Stan) has fought the right fight since “Captain America: Civil War” and turned out to be a tough stone whenever the duty calls. That said, the Assassin Onetime, who makes an additional punch thanks to his titanium who has become an adaptable vibranium arm, is only useful as long as no one withdraws his clever prosthesis from his body – something that, at this stage, has produced a lot.

The tastes of Sentry (Lewis Pullman) and Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) both beat Barnes by pulling his cold left arm and throwing him like a newspaper. Even the Dora Milaje had a clever tip to detach it without its knowing in “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”. Isn’t that enough now? Surely poor Buck, one of the most experienced and most trained soldiers of this eclectic superhero world, must remain in the fight as long as possible, especially when it means confronting the Doom doctor who is approaching slowly (also Downey Jr.) in “Avengers: Doomsday”. In this spirit, we think it is time that whatever the Marvel Studios plans has for the oldest friend of Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), he should obtain a whole new upgrade … and the comics have the perfect solution as to what it should be.

Give Bucky a liquid metal arm

Bucky remained as a ladle as his live counterpart in the recent scripts of Marvel comics, who also beat the MCU in the race so that the Avengers compete with Doom. However, one of his biggest missions saw him discover a secret organization (yes, another) called the external circle. Founded in 1922, the members of the group – power, machine, money and love – had all played a role in some of the greatest moments in recent history. The last member was revolution, which Bucky killed and used as a means of infiltrating the rest of the peloton, taking the alias of the new revolution and winning a liquid metal arm after simulating his death (still) to remove Steve Rogers from his path.

The said arm is made from the same substance used by the assassin of the exterior circle, expected, whose large size and the ability to transform and monthly made it a deadly enemy before Cap convinces it to fight for good. Bucky now has similar skills, allowing him to reshape his arm in any form he wants (including a shield or even sharp objects, a bit like a T-1000 of the “Terminator” franchise). This upgrade is exactly what Buck is desperately needed when he advances in the MCU, especially if he will find himself in a friendly fight with his old friend, Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), the new Captain America, as the median scene “Thunderbolts *” suggests. In the end, everyone should be at their best when confronted with the Latveria chief. All we ask is that the MCU gives Bucky a hand and make sure it remains locked this time.

“Avengers: Doomsdays” opens the rooms on December 18, 2026.
