The distribution of global content of Paramount will stage the world premiere of “Boston Blue”, the expansion of the world of long-standing drama “Blue Bloods”, on the eve of this year’s Mipcom, the world’s largest market for television and streaming content (October 13-16). The main and executive producer Donnie Wahlberg and the star Sonequa Martin-Green will be present.
“Boston Blue” sees Wahlberg, born in Boston, resume his role as detective from the NYPD, Danny Reagan, who takes a position in the Boston police service and is paired with detective Lena Silver (Martin-Green), the eldest daughter of an eminent family of application of the law. “Boston Blue” is produced by CBS Studios and Jerry Bruckheimer Television. Brandon Sonnier and Brandon Margolis are showrunners and executive producers. Jerry Bruckheimer, Kristieanne Reed and Wahlberg also serve as executive producers.
The new series also presents the Silver family, composed of the Boston District Prosecutor, Mae Silver (Gloria Reuben), the detective of Boston PD Lena Silver, of the police superintendent Sarah Silver (Maggie Lawson), the cop recruit Jonah Silver (Marcus Scribner) and the renowned bappist Pastor Reverend Edwin Peters (Ernie Hudson).
