Donkey Kong Bananza: DK Island and Emerald Rush DLC is launching today

Additional content arrives at Donkey Kong Bananza, the Big Nintendo Direct Broadcast today has confirmed, in the form of a paid DLC pack: DK Island and Emerald Rush.

DK Island seems to be a new level with nostalgic leading to the past of Donkey Kong, and a giant stone Kong face that you can climb or beat.

This area presents Emerald, rather than the familiar gold of the main game, which is linked to the other main addition of the DLC: the brand new Rush Emerald mode. This Défi option sees you explore the DK island and return to other existing areas to raise the emerald as quickly as possible, with mini-drums fixed against the chronometer which will end your race early if you fail.

Developed by members of the Super Mario Odyssey team, Donkey Kong Bananza was launched for Nintendo Switch 2 in July in Universal Delight among fans and criticism.

The Bananza Revue de Donkey Kong of IGN has attributed to the game a perfect rare score, and nicknamed it “a really revolutionary 3D platform game, with a satisfactory movement, powerful capacities, impressive destructible environments and intelligent challenges that meet in complete harmony to create the first masterpiece of Nintendo Switch 2.”
