Doncic out at least 1 week with sprained finger, bruised leg

Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic will miss Sunday’s game against the Sacramento Kings because of a sprained left finger and a bruised lower left leg, the team announced.
Doncic will be re-evaluated in about a week. The Lakers are optimistic that Doncic will not need additional time to recover beyond the initial estimated timetable, sources told ESPN.
LA plays the Portland Trail Blazers on the second night of a back-to-back Monday, then plays on the road against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday and the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday before returning to host the Miami Heat next Sunday.
The absence of Doncic is a hard blow for the Lakers, already deprived of LeBron James and now deprived of the services of their top scorer who had a historic start to the season, with an average of 46 points per game in the first two games in Los Angeles.
The Lakers also announced that center Jaxson Hayes would be unavailable against the Kings, missing a second straight game with left knee soreness.
