Donald Trump reacts with message after winning first FIFA Peace Prize

US President Donald Trump shared a message after receiving the inaugural FIFA Peace Prize in Washington DC. He received the honor during the ongoing draw for next summer’s FIFA World Cup, which will take place in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino presented Trump with a gold trophy, medal and certificate to honor his latest achievement. The president spoke at the podium after receiving the award, saying he considered the award one of the greatest honors of his life.
Thanks for the submission!

Donald Trump and FIFA boss Infantino appear to have formed a strong relationship in recent months ahead of the World Cup. Infantino was recently photographed with Cristiano Ronaldo during his visit to Trump in his Oval Office, indicating his presence during the meeting.
President Trump fully embraced the growth of soccer in the United States and visited MetLife Stadium in July to watch the FIFA Club World Cup final, won by Chelsea. The 79-year-old then made an appearance as Blues captain Reece James lifted the trophy, causing confusion among the players.
Trump received the first edition of the Peace Prize and thus wrote his name in the history books. The 45th and 47th US presidents had openly campaigned for the Nobel Peace Prize earlier this year, but lost to Maria Corina Machado.
Donald Trump backs USMNT for World Cup glory
US President Donald Trump has revealed that he believes the USMNT can win the FIFA World Cup next summer. CONCACAF is hosting the 2026 edition of the tournament alongside Mexico and Canada.
Journalist Ben Jacobs asked Trump if he thought the United States could become champions next year, and the two-time president responded in the affirmative. He said he expects Mauricio Pochettino’s side to have a chance in what will be a very competitive tournament.
“Well, I think so. I think they will have a chance. It will be a very competitive tournament,” he said (via bolavip.com).
The USMNT are ranked 14th in the world and are undefeated in their last five international matches, recording four wins and one draw. Led by Christian Pulisic and Folarin Balogun, the United States will want to improve on their elimination in the quarter-finals of the 2002 edition of the Mundial.
