Dodgers wishing to generate more VS Rays contacts

The Los Angeles Dodgers received a boost with the return of the launcher leaving Blake Snell on Saturday, but the team is still looking for answers for its marble difficulties.
Los Angeles will continue this research when the Dodgers face the host Tampa Bay Rays in the rubber match of a series of three games on Sunday.
The Dodgers were held at six simple and were excluded for the sixth time this season in a defeat of 4-0 on Saturday. Snell launched five strong rounds, but the dodgers have withdrawn 11 times and were unable to put a runner on the second goal until the sixth round.
“We have to find a way to put the ball into play, to force something to happen,” said Los Angeles manager Dave Roberts. “If you are looking at the withdrawal rate, in recent weeks, it’s certainly up there. We have to find a way to reset. Just take bats and a two-strike approach.”
Tampa Bay broke his sequence of four consecutive defeats behind the first basic player Yandy Diaz, who had two circuits among his three strokes and three points produced. Diaz recorded his 900th career success in victory.
“It’s something big,” said Diaz through a translator. “After all the sacrifice and the work I put, I’m glad things are going well for me now.”
The Rays adapt without the first goal player of the stars Jonathan Aranda, who will at least miss the next three weeks. Aranda landed on the 10 -day injured list with a left wrist fracture suffered in Thursday’s match against New York Yankees.
Tampa Bay has also played the last two games without the central defender Chandler Simpson, who is listed on a daily basis with a left index sprain. Despite injuries, Right Field Player Rays Josh Lowe said the team had to stay focused.
“Present yourself at work, tie your crampons, put your jersey, go out and get there,” said Lowe. “You know, the game does not feel bad for you. No one feels bad for you. You have to go there and compete and count on our teammates to get started and give our best every day.”
The final of the Sunday series includes a pair of right-handers while the Yoshinobu Yamamoto of the Dodgers (9-7, 2.63 ERA) faces Joe Boyle de Tampa Bay (1-1, 2.82).
Yamamoto, 26, granted a seven-round race during a 5-2 road victory against Cincinnati Reds last Monday.
Yamamoto was impressive during its last six departures, granting a total of eight deserved points with 38 stick withdrawal on 31 2/3 sleeves.
“When he needs to make land, the split was there. Using the curve to recover and withdraw the withdrawal when he needs it,” said Roberts. “It is good to see him come back when he was a little intermediate there and starting to be the dominant launcher that we know that he can be.”
Yamamoto should make his first career appearance against Tampa Bay, which hopes Boyle could bounce back from a brutal outing last Tuesday.
The 25-year-old has granted six points (four deserved) out of 3 1/3 rounds with a 7-5 defeat against New York Yankees. He made his first career appearance against Los Angeles.
